Free: Bible Showdown Thanksgiving Sampler
Try the game show format free: 10 questions at each of three age levels, automatic scoring for 2–4 teams, a timer and a Final Round. No sign-up needed.
What's in the free game
- 30 questions in all: 10 for Kids (ages 5–11), 10 for Preteens (11–14) and 10 for Teens (14–18), on the Bible's teaching about giving thanks.
- Five categories: Thankful Psalms, Harvest & Feasts, Jesus Gives Thanks, Thankful Hearts and Faith Lessons.
- Automatic scoring for 2 to 4 teams. Answered squares disappear, there's a countdown timer and an Undo button, and the game saves itself if the page closes.
- A Final Round with wagers, then a winner screen.
- A Bible reference with every answer, so the game doubles as a review of the lesson.
It's one file that opens in Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox on Windows, Mac, Chromebook or iPad, and it works offline once downloaded.
How to play it in your class
- Download and unzip the file, then double-click the game to open it in your web browser.
- Pick an age level and type in 2 to 4 team names. Naming teams after places in the Bible (Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Galilee) gets kids talking straight away.
- Teams take turns choosing a square. Read the question aloud, give the team the timer, then click their answer. Points add up on their own.
- Read the Bible reference aloud after each answer. Ten seconds per question turns the game into a real review.
- Finish with the Final Round. Each team wagers some of its points on one last question.
A 30-question game takes about 25–35 minutes with three teams. For a short slot, play one category per team and skip the Final Round.
Tips from the classroom
- Mixed ages? Run the Kids level and let older children be "team captains" who must let a younger teammate answer first.
- Small class (3–6 kids)? Play everyone against the clock: each correct answer adds to one shared score, and see if the class can beat last week's total.
- No screen? Read the questions from your phone and keep score on a whiteboard.
